The authority of Jesus

Hello everyone!  I am back again to report on the service this morning, where we had a really good sing and I found it a worshipful atmosphere.  The preacher was being reported on, as he is still training or to use the term of the Methodist Church, he is “on trial!”  I felt sorry for him, as it always puts pressure on a person to be watched.  He spoke about the way Jesus was listened to, as people recognised that he taught with authority unlike the Scribes and Pharisees.  He explained how many Scribes and Pharisees would quote from noted teachers, to add authority to what they were teaching.  Jesus had no such need to quote such renowned teachers to add authority to what he taught.  It is what makes Jesus unique and special.
