A new term begins

Hello everyone!  This morning I battled through torrential rain to the Acorn Centre to help with the computer.  I arrived dripping wet!  My trousers were sodden and gradually they dried as the day went on!  It was a lovely surprise to see the new computers we now have.  They are only a year old, as another tutor no longer needs them.  Our tutor has also got a new printer, which works very well, and is much lighter to carry than the old printer.  The old printer kept breaking down or sticking, so it is really good to have a printer that works.  We had some new students, so it was busy time getting all the paperwork done!  I enjoyed starting off new students and supporting those who had been there longer as they got back into the course.  Quite a number did turn up despite the weather.  Fortunately the sun had come out by the time I was setting off to return home, so I could dry my coat more in the welcome sunshine.
I collected my beloved and we went to buy some wildflower seeds for our wild garden, and some more compost and grit too.  We also had a browse in Homebase.  My beloved’s meal tonight was absolutely delicious.  This time he baked the salmon in the oven with a variety of flavours, and whilst it was cooking he stir fried the peppers, cherry tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms in olive oil, and boiled the brown rice.  About three or four minutes before the salmon was ready he added the rice to the stir fried vegetables, and the resulting meal was a triumph!  Now I am relaxing with my beloved for the evening, and we shall be sharing some wine together.  This is the day that the Lord has made and I rejoice and am glad in it.

    Hi Helen
I read your extraordinary story about the exploding cactus (18 Sept) and googled "bird eating spider in cactus".  Apparently the whole thing was a hoax, originally sent as an emailed story in 2004!  Good story, nevertheless!
A letter will be on its way to you soon.
    Love, Fran

    Hi Fran
Our tutor is good on the Internet, so she maybe read it there.  We all believed her, though! It was a good story though!
    love Helen
