Hello everyone! It has been a lovely afternoon with warm
sunshine, after a cloudy start to the day.
It was great to be able to hang my washing out to dry as well. I felt shattered when I woke up, as I
suppose, I was relaxing, now I am having a break from work next week. I still managed to do 10 minutes on the
exercise bike to get my heart going and then did my 20 minute work out, before
breakfast. Otherwise I had a slow start
going with my beloved to shop late morning.
We relaxed then together listening to the radio play, before we went
into the garden to tackle some tidying up.
My beloved bought some more plants for the garden and so we have been
digging up some of our Japanese Anemones as they have been growing rampantly in
our main bed. We want to put some new
plants in to encourage it to be more of a rockery. My beloved has also given some tender loving
care to our rhubarb, which disappeared beneath a lavender plant and Japanese
Anemones and brambles. We may have some
this year after all.
I am concerned about
Cathy this weekend as she will be stuck in Switzerland because of the volcano
and she was to be a godmother for her best friend Kate’s little boy Joseph on
Sunday. She was so pleased to be asked
and she and Kate have been friends since pre-school and spent their childhood
in and out of each other’s houses. They will
both be gutted if she cannot be there.
Planes are not likely to be flying tomorrow and I am not sure whether
travelling by train would get her home in time and then back to work for
Monday! I am so sorry for Cathy as the
volcano is an unforeseen circumstance and will be regarded as an act of
God. I am sure the money loss is less
important than the fact that she will most likely not be able to make it.
I am now relaxing with
my beloved with a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc, whilst we watch and record
the Mentalist and Grey’s Anatomy for Cathy to enjoy later. This is the day that the Lord has made and I
rejoice and am glad in it.
