Vocalis and Et Cetera entertain us with their singing

Hello everyone!  Yesterday I collected my daughter Beth to have tea with us before taking her with two others to a performance at our chapel by Vocalis a choir and Et Cetera a singing quartet of women; both were excellent!  The program included Songs from the 60’s.  We had a jazz pianist Paul Dyson with a jazz base Alisdair Simpson and on percussion Ed Dennis.  Vocalis was conducted by Edmund Aldhouse.  The first half began with ‘A little Jazz Mass’ by Bob Chilcott.  It was accompanied by the jazz instrumentalists and sung by Vocalis beautifully and was very enjoyable.  Et Cetera accompanied by Paul Dyson sang California Dreamin’ by J Philips; Scarborough Fair/Canticle by ‘Simon and Garfunkle; If I fell by J Lennon & P McCartney; After the Goldrush by N. Young; What a wonderful World by G D Weiss & G Douglas.  They were beautifully sung.  Vocalis and Et-Cetera then joined together to sing; Hushabye Mountain by R M & R B Sherman; Yesterday by Paul McCartney; Annie’s Song; and finally the Spiritual, Morning Train.  After the interval Et Cetera sang Cabaret by J Kander; Moon River by H Mancini; I could have danced all night by F Loewe; and ‘The Rhythm of Life by C Coleman. So many of my favourite songs were sung and Beth enjoyed them all as well.  The finale was brilliant and something I had never heard before; Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo by Michael Flanders & Joseph Horovitz.  It was fun and very lively and received well deserved applause.  They performed their concert for our chapel, Wesley Chapel’s development fund and to celebrate our 150 year anniversary, which is at the beginning of October.

Hi, just wondered if you could help. It was suggested I try and contact Et Cetera for a church fundraising event but when I googled them your page came up and I cannot find them anywhere else. Seeing that you had a wonderful evening and the recommendation came from a friend who attended it – I wonder if you could possible pass on a contact name and number for where I might get hold of them to persue our enquiry. Hope you can help.
