I had a busy week preparing for another service on the following Sunday, as well as doing some sorting. There is still a lot of stuff to be sorted upstairs, especially in the loft. I helped at the Acorn Centre on the Friday as usual and Beth popped in on the way back from work, so we had a drink and a cake at our local M&S store.
On Saturday I and a number of local preachers, fundraisers, in fact those who volunteer for the MHA, the Methodist Home for the Aged, were formerly thanked with cards or certificates by the chaplain Susan and the matron. We were then invited for a barbecue with a variety of salads, jacket potatoes, beef burgers and or sausages. Rosemary, a fellow local preacher also came. I then enjoyed a relaxing weekend with my beloved before preaching on Sunday.
